Community Living Camp

 Day 01 04/12/2024

Day 1 began with the registration process at 09:00 AM. After that at 09:30 AM, a falg hoisting was there attended by all teachers, staffs as well as the manager. And at 10:00 AM, the inauguration ceremony had started. Dr Achuth Sankar S Nair , Professor, Dept of Computational Biology ang Bio Informatics , University of Kerala inaugurated our community living camp. Dr Roobina Sonia S R, delivered the welcome speech. The presidential adress was given by Dr Salini S , Principal SNGK B.Ed College.Madhurima G was assigned to give the introductory speech and Samridhi Suresh was assigned to deliver the vote of thanks. Dr Achuth Sankar S Nair sir delivered a thought provoking speech which also gave us the spirit and energy to start our camp days. We all had our lunch at 01:00 PM and later an ice breaking session was held with Dr Roobina Sonia S R. Here we all shared our thoughts, experiences and all . The session was good and had a wonderful experience. Then at 04:30 PM, we participated in a gardening activity named sneharamam. Then we had our tea. And at 08:00 PM, cultural activities began. A camp reflection was held at 09:00 PM, it provided a paltform for feedback and planning for the following days of the camp. The day concluded at 10:00 PM with lights off.

Day 02 05/12/2024

Day 02 began with all the students waking at 05:00 AM. And at 07:00 AM, students participated in a refreshing yoga session with the yoga trainer Smt N K Vimala. We had our breakfast at 08:00 AM and get ready for the assembly . And at 10:00 AM, a talk was conducted by Dr Rahul V R, Asst Professor , HOD, Educational Psychology. The session started with an introductory speech by Ardra Anil and later, Dr Rahul V R gave an interesting talk on the topic" Dealing on the differences." The session was concluded by Amina N with the vote of thanks. After the lunch break at 02:00 PM, we visited a village and informed them about the medical check up, we had organised. Later at 04:30 PM, we engaged in sneharamam. The evening was filled with Cultural practices until 08:00 PM. The day concluded with a camp reflection at 09:00 PM, followed by dinner at 09:30 PM and lights off at 10:00 PM.

Day 03 06/12/2024 

The third day at SNGK B.Ed college commenced with an early start, echoing the disciplined life style embraced by the community. The morning session commenced with yoga session to promote physical and mental well being. All students gathered for the morning assembly at 09:30 AM. Later an awareness class on fire and safety by fire station keezhaikonam was conducted. This session was informative and highlighted the importance of having an awareness on the topic to ensure safety. This session had an introductory speech by Athul A V and concluded with a vote of thanks by Gopika G G.And after the lunch break, we had a wonderful session at 02:00 PM by Shri Brahma Nayakam Mahadevan, founder president of Sahajeevan. The session was so interesting that it captivated every student. We all actively participated and interacted throughout the session. Me itself delivered the introductory speech for the session and Jyothilekshmi B delivered the vote of thanks. The evening session continued with the gardening activity. And at 05:00 PM, a drama named nottam was performed by the alumini of SNGK. Later at 09:00 PM, students reflected on day's activities, feedback and planning for future events. After dinner, lights were off at 10:00 PM.

Day 04 07/12/2024

The fourth day of the community living camp began with students waking up at 05:00 AM; followed by a refreshing yoga session at 07:00 AM. After the breakfast, assembly was conducted at 09:30 AM. At 10:00 AM; a medical camp was conducted at the adopted village. The camp went on successfully and after the lunch break at 02:00 PM, paper bag were donated to various shops. Later a session on " Inter Personal Communication Skill Development" was conducted by Bismina S, certified English Language Trainee. Then students engaged in gardening activity at 04:30 PM. After that cultural events began at 08:00 PM which was interesting. Followed by camp reflection and dinner at 10:00 PM, lights were off.

Day 05 08/12/2024

The fifth and final day of the community living camp at SNGK B.Ed College, began with the familiar rythm of discipline and routine. Students woke up at 05:00 AM, practised yoga at 07:00 AM. After breakfast at 08:00 AM, conducted assembly at 09:30 AM. From 10:00 AM, a session of Dr Pramod Dinakar, Associate Professor and HOD, Chinmaya Viswa Vidyapeeth was held. For this session, Mahima P S delivered introductory speech and vote of thanks was delivered by Karthika P Nair. In the afternoon at 02:00 PM, we engaged in Zumba Session and also at 03:00 PM, SUPW by students were conducted. At evening 04:30 PM, students got engaged with sneharamam followed by cultural events at 08:00 PM and then the camp reflection at 09:00 PM, dinner at 09:30 PM and lights off at 10:00 PM.
